If you are asking “What is Citrix?”, does it mean you want to know about its products? Because just saying Citrix is little confusing. Ok, let me try to explain you.
Citrix as a company.
Citrix Systems, Inc., is an American software and cloud computing company, founded in Richardson, Texas in 1989 by Ed Iacobucci. Company offerings server, application and desktop virtualization, software and networking as a service.
Now if we take Citrix as a technology!!
Well, imagine for a moment, your desktop what you see in your personal computer which is in your house, and it can be accessible from any other desktop, laptop, notebook, even from your mobile device by using username and password. This is what exactly Citrix do, at a basic level, virtualization technology allows the desktop image that appears on your PC screen from the computer itself, that can travel over the network by creating a virtual desktop, from one device to any other device you want. You just have to authenticate yourself using username and password.
This is the basic level of an idea of Citrix, but not so simple as simple as I describe, if you are Citrix specialist but if a user, it's really simple to use.
