World Championship – Microsoft excel




          Did you ever know that there is an actual world championship for Microsoft Excel, the most popular spreadsheet application? Well, it’s pretty much a reality, as the MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) world championship is a competition that’s held annually which includes participants from across the globe.

What is the MOS world championship?

         The Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship presented by Certiport, Inc. is a global competition that tests students’ skills on Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint (2013 or 2016). Top students are invited to represent their respective countries at the World Championship. In some countries or regions, students are required to participate in a National Championship, and the winners of that event continue on to the World Championship.
          Participants will have to show their skills and creativity as they work through questions focusing on data management, data visualization and formula writing. So, if you are techy teen and quick at solving spreadsheets problems, you will be pleased to know that Microsoft gives cash price of $7000, medal of Achievement, Trophy, Winner’s Certificate, Other Prizes Provided by Microsoft to the winner, where 1st and 2nd runner-up gets cash prize of $3500, medal of Achievement, Winner’s Certificate and cash prize of $1500, medal of Achievement, Winner’s Certificate
