Windows Search Overview

     Windows search or collective refers to indexed search is a platform for a desktop search that has instant search capabilities as soon as a start typing for most common types of files or data match to it.
          It is a standard component by default enable from Windows Vista which is replaced by Windows Desktop Search (WDS) also referred to as Instant Search for the earlier version of windows like Windows XP which was available as an add-in.

          Windows Search builds a full-text index of files on a computer. Initial creation of this index depends on the total amount and type of data to be indexed, this is a one time process but it can take up to several hours. Once indexing completed, then it will use an index to search results faster than search entire computer.
          A search result is not only based on names, but also on the content of the file as well as the keyword, metadata that windows search recognizes.
