Hyatt Hotel breach exposed customer credit card payment data | Hacked again in 2 Years.
Hyatt has issued a statement today that their payment systems ware breached and warn guests that have resulted in credit card information being stolen from 41 hotels around the world.
Hyatt said in a statement, "We regret to inform you that we discovered signs of and then resolved unauthorized access to payment card information from cards manually entered or swiped at the front desk of certain Hyatt-managed locations between March 18, 2017, and July 2, 2017, we have resolved the issue and implemented additional security measures to strengthen the security of our systems. Customers can confidently use payment cards at Hyatt hotels worldwide.”
Hyatt was previously hacked in late 2015. And they said that they secure their system more and the customer can feel comfortable and confident while made payment using a credit card.
Overall 41 hotels worldwide are affected, Hyatt Place Pune/Hinjewadi from Pune, India, Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya, Park Hyatt Jeddah - Marina, Club and Spa and Jabal Omar Hyatt Regency Makkah from Saudi Arab, while most of them from China, almost 18 and rest from around the world.
