New Google Assistant Available on the Play Store, Does nothing, just a Shortcut
A brand new app by Google, Google Assistant App has uploaded to Play Store. But the sad part is, you might think it will work with Android Tab, or Chromebooks, where Play Store allows installation on both types of devices. unfortunately, it doesn't. it is just a shortcut to the main app and only works on those devices which already have google assistant. we will not wrong if we say it's a little more then a shortcut, as an examination of the code shows that it also checks your device eligibility for Assistant, and let users know if it is not.
